A Family Legacy Begins

Debuty Builders, Inc. was founded in 2004, continuing a family tradition in the construction industry that began with Adam Debuty’s father, who had been in the business for over 50 years. Adam’s hands-on experience working alongside his parents laid the foundation for the company's future success.

Making a Name Through Storm Restoration

In 2011, a tornado and hailstorm swept through East Tennessee, and Debuty Builders, Inc. stepped in to help countless homeowners repair their roofs. This event helped establish the company’s reputation for reliability and quality.

Expansion into Custom Homes

In 2014, Debuty Builders, Inc. expanded from repairs and remodels into building custom homes, allowing us to bring our expertise and craftsmanship to every aspect of the home-building process.

MEET THE TEAM

Adam Debuty Headshot

Adam Debuty

President

Adam is a native of Maryville, Tennessee where he was born and raised.  Growing up around the construction business, Adam got his start back in high school with his father.  He learned the business by starting at the bottom as a laborer and working his way through every aspect of it.  Adam received his Contractor’s License in 2006 and hasn’t looked back, building homes for many in the East Tennessee area.  He’s been married to his high school sweetheart since 2006, and he and Jill (Wife Jill!) have two boys, Jake and Alex, as well as a small farm with donkeys and Scottish Highland cows.

Al, or as he is affectionately sometimes called, “Poppy,” was born in Maryville and has worked in the construction business since 1972.  He started with his brother Kliness and then went into the Navy for four years.  After he left the Navy, he came back to the home building business and hasn’t left yet, now working with Adam, his son.  He is well known around town and also well-loved around here.  He has the years and experience under his belt to make sure our jobs are run perfectly and built soundly.  Al and his wife have been married for 43 years and have raised three boys.  He has 4 grandsons with one in the United States Air Force.

Job Foreman

Bryan graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a degree in Criminal Justice.  He worked in Magnolia, Arkansas as a police officer for three years before moving back home to DFW where he worked as a Construction Manager for John Houston Custom Homes, D.R. Horton, and Lennar for almost eight years.  He and his family moved to East Tennessee in 2022.  He became a Certified Home Inspector soon after the move. He has been with DBI, Inc. since 2023 as our Job Foreman.

Director of Finance

Jill (Office Jill!) is an East Tennessean through and through, with a heritage running all the way to historic Cades Cove, in her grandfather’s childhood home known as the Tipton House. Jill has obtained degrees in Accounting/Business, and has been in accounting since 1997 but involved in the construction business her entire life thanks to her dad who was superintendent over large corporate jobs (including the Sun Sphere in Knoxville). Jill has been with DBI, Inc. since June of 2021. She and Dennis are engaged and planning a wedding for next year. Dennis is the owner of Seymour Dry Cleaners for 32 years. Their oldest daughter Megan is a sonographer and a vocalist for their church’s praise team. Jake, Megan’s husband, is a Marine, an engineer, and he plays bass for the praise team.  Ashton works with her dad at the dry cleaners and is a very talented artist. Kolton is a combat medic in the Army.  Emma, Kolton’s fiancée, is at UT studying to be a kinesiologist, and she is also a lead lifeguard in Sevierville. Kinsley and Karley are in high school where they are very active, including on the softball team.

Erica is an integral part of DBI, Inc.  With us since September 2021, she has a Bachelor’s of Interior Design from Bob Jones University.  Shortly after college, she started working in the construction industry, both remodeling and new construction.  She lived in Rochester, New York, all her life until moving here in 2016.  Erica says her favorite part of the industry is kitchen design as she gets to help clients turn their dreams into reality.  Erica and her husband have one daughter starting college this year.  They enjoy camping and singing in the choir at their church.

Tom is our resident Trim Man/Carpentry Extraordinaire.  As elusive as Big Foot himself, Tom works proficiently, does amazing work, and leaves no trace behind.

Seth joined DBI, Inc. in 2023 and is starting out his career in the construction business.  Always ready for whatever the day throws at him, Seth is there with a helping hand and eagerness to learn.  He graduated high school in 2023 and has lived in East Tennessee his whole life.
